Next Friday 26th June will be a school closure day. Students will finish at the normal staggered times on Thursday 25th June.
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN SALE
Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
We are able to confirm Friday, June 26th will be a school closure day as advertised throughout Term One and Term Two within the newsletter. This day will be used for collating and interpreting information gathered by teachers in recent weeks to inform their planning for Term Three. We are committed to pursuing the very best outcomes for students and value the opportunity to retain this day for evaluating and planning for student learning.
We will proceed with our Cross Country event at school next Wednesday, June 24th. This will involve individual classes completing a running course on school grounds during a shortened PE lesson. Each class will proceed to the starting line at their allocated time and then return to class after their event. The P&F have donated icy poles and these will be given out by class teachers after children have completed their event. We thank the P&F who are keen to support the school during this time of COVID 19 restrictions. As mentioned last week, this is an inhouse event and unfortunately spectators will not be able to attend. We look forward to sharing photos in next week’s newsletter.
We thank families for their support in adhering to the protocols around managing children who present unwell at school. Your prompt response in taking children home and ensuring symptoms are resolved before their return is comforting to the entire school community as we all work towards ensuring everyone's wellbeing.
Please know our cleaners have been wonderful, ensuring all high touch surfaces and equipment are regularly cleaned and disinfected. They have been very accommodating and flexible with their time. We appreciate their efforts and cheery manner about the school.
We continue with our google meet assemblies this week and look forward to creating opportunities for prayer, sharing of work and achievements across the school.
A meeting will be held early next term to discuss the Sacraments and the possibility of celebrating First Eucharist and First Reconciliation at some stage later in the year. Details will be shared with families as soon as they are available. First Eucharist is celebrated for baptised children in Year Four and above, whilst First Reconciliation may be received by baptised children in Year Three and above.
As we continue with the remaining week of Term Two, we once again acknowledge the work of students, families and teachers during this first semester. We encourage you all to enjoy a well deserved rest. We intend to send reports home on Thursday June 25th. School will finish at the usual staggered times, starting at 3pm for Foundation students and their siblings.
Enjoy your weekend,
God Bless and Take Care
Anita and staff

This Wednesday we are looking forward to running our cross country event on the school grounds. Students will compete one year level at a time with presentations and awards given out at the end of each race. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and are welcome to wear their house coloured shirt on the day. Good luck to all our runners.
We have been asking all families and visitors to use hand sanitiser both before and after using vpass to sign in or out. We have found that this is causing issues with the touch screen on the ipad and ask that all people use the hand sanitiser only AFTER using the ipad.
Please remind your children to place their jumpers safely in their bags if the day warms up.
We have had a number of misplaced jumpers already and stress the importance of labelling all uniform items. In doing so, they can easily be returned to children throughout the day.
A reminder also for children with shoulder length hair to wear all of it neatly tied back, up and off the shoulder and face. Hair ribbons are blue or gold in line with our uniform colours.
Due to COVID-19, tuckshop will not be open for lunch orders or over-the-counter sales until further notice.
