Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
We thank everyone for supporting our Easter raffle. We had a huge collection of prizes and our winners are listed below. Thank you to our P&F for their work in organising prizes and tickets. We especially thank Rose, Eva, Allison and Christine for their efforts to ensure the raffle took place without a hitch.
Today, we have had a number of volunteers supporting our Cross Country. We appreciate all your time to ensure the children enjoyed a great day.
A reminder, that we will hold a Volunteer Induction on Monday, May 2nd at 5.30pm.
Today, we say a special “Thank you” to Deb Fox for her commitment in teaching the Year 5MC class during the first term. We appreciate her availability and enthusiasm throughout the term and have valued her contribution to the school community. Lauren Madeley will return in Term Two and work alongside Mrs Vicki Colley. Mrs Colley will work each Monday and Mrs Madeley will work the remaining four days of the week. Deb Fox will return to St Thomas’ on a casual basis.
I congratulate our Year 5 students for their presentation of the “Passion Play”. We acknowledge all their work and that of their teachers. I’m sure each child will leave with a recollection of the events leading to the Resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday. May they acknowledge the promise of new life in knowing Christ and the symbolism of the easter egg. May God’s spirit be with them all during the Easter season.
PICK UP/DROP OFF ARRANGEMENTS TERM 2
Next term, we will continue with three exit points with all students finishing at 3.15pm except for country bus students. We will encourage our Foundation families to use either the Raglan St gate or the Gumnuts gate at 3.15pm. The admin foyer gate will still still be open to Foundation families, however, it will not open until 3.15pm. It will be most important that your child knows where their pick up point will be. Students will need to wait on school grounds until parents arrive. Gates will be opened by the duty teacher.
In the morning, gates will open at 8.30am for all families. Playground supervision does not begin until 8.30am. All classrooms open at 8.40pm and the school day begins at 8.55am. QR scanning will still be a part of our practice for contact tracing purposes.
Please know that all staff thank you sincerely for your support during this term. We wish you every blessing for the Easter holidays. May it be a chance to rest and enjoy time with friends and family.
Take Care and God Bless

New PAM (Parent Access Module) Roll Out - link and information
New PAM (Parent Access Module) Roll Out
PAM is an innovative parent-controlled electronic medical form for our school. It’s an electronic version of the paper-based forms we previously completed for excursions and camps. It provides parents with the opportunity to update medical information promptly and accurately while providing the school with instant access to the emergency information provided by you. We use the PAM app in the best interests of the children whilst also reducing the burden on parents to fill out the same information on multiple forms throughout the year.
Parents can use a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to enter details including:
- Student absence - entered via ‘Parent Notified Absences’. This is our preferred method, as we are phasing out the Szap app
- Emergency contacts
- Medical contacts
- Medical checklist, including asthma, allergies, seizures, diabetes
- Notes and other care instructions from parents
- Parent teacher interviews
- Student reports
- More features will be introduced later in the year
St Thomas’ Primary School will initially also use PAM as a tool to send parents permission forms and notifications.
Please note that it is the responsibility of parents to ensure their child’s medical and contact details are up to date and complete. In the event of an emergency the school staff will rely on the information provided via PAM.
We recommend that you add the PAM website to the home screen on your mobile device which will then display as an App. For instructions on how to do this and more, please access the PAM Parent Instruction Manual.
To access PAM, please click HERE and enter your login credentials to proceed to your account.
Please note you may only have one shared active family account per household, please contact the office if you have any queries.
If you need your login credentials or a password reset, please contact our reception officers on 5144 1332 or reception@sttsale.catholic.edu.au.
