Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
Firstly, “Hello!” I hope you are all in good spirits as we continue to work our way through a challenging time. Our prayer for you is to support your family and to do what you can feasibly manage at home, knowing that this can look very different for each family. Take time to rest, play and to learn.
With this in mind, please know that Remote Schooling will continue until further notice. We have not been provided with a definite time frame, though, the media is reporting Remote Schooling will continue until the end of term.
We do appreciate all your efforts to support your child/ren with their learning. We encourage you to send completed items of work to teachers as requested. We have tried to accommodate various modes of learning and cater for the varying family circumstances. We appreciate your positive response.
Your child’s teacher will notify you via email as to whether their class will be requiring learning packs. Not all classes will be sending home packs.
Our intention is to have learning packs available on Monday afternoon. They will be set up for a two week period. A roster will be prepared and shared with you later today. They can be picked up from the stadium.
Families intending to send their children to school need to comply with the following categories.
The school will only be open for students on Friday September 3rd and for the remainder of Remote Schooling where:
CATEGORY A
1) Parent(s) / Guardian(s) / Carer(s) are considered an authorised/essential worker and cannot work from home and care cannot be provided; and for
CATEGORY B
2) Vulnerable students including:
- children in out-of-home care
- children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm
- children identified by the school as vulnerable (including via referral from a family violence agency, homelessness or youth justice service or mental health or other health service).
An onsite intentions form will be available on Sunday morning and we ask that it is completed for the week, indicating the days your child will be onsite. Please forward worker permits to reception. It is imperative that we know numbers so as to allocate staffing.
As we finish the week, we are reminded that we celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday. We wish all our dads a lovely Sunday with their family.
As more information becomes available, we will continue to share it with you.
God bless and take care,
Anita and staff.
