Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
Next week, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent in our Catholic Church calendar.
Lent is a time for reflecting upon the ways we have followed Christ, serving others and sharing our love through our words and actions. It is known as the season of forgiveness and new beginnings, as we turn away from the things that draw us away from Christ and allow him to enter our lives once again.
St Teresa of Avila reminds us that we are the hands, eyes and voice of Christ. God’s Spirit works through us in simple ways to bring peace, comfort, laughter, empathy and compassion to those around us. May we use this Lenten season to revisit the ways we have influenced the life of others in positive ways and seek forgiveness for any selfishness displayed, through simple words such as ”I am sorry”.
May lent be a time for prayer, an opportunity to build or strengthen our relationship with Christ and an opportunity to reach out to those less fortunate than ourselves.
"Christ has no body now, but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks compassion into the world. Yours are the feet with which Christ walks to do good. Yours are the hands with which Christ blesses the world."

CHILD SAFETY/ WELLBEING
Foundation Students Drop Off and Pick up
Next week will be the final four day week for our Foundation students .
We will continue with the same arrangements for Drop off and Pick Up and then trial a change to end of day arrangements in Week 7.
We remind families to ensure that children are aware of end of day arrangements including Gumnuts Afterschool Care, Country Bus travel, walking or riding home and the exit gates.
Unwell Children
If your child is unwell, they are asked to remain at home until their symptoms are resolved.
Children who present unwell at school will be sent home.
Medication
A reminder that a medical authority form needs to be completed before the school can administer any medication to your child. All medication needs to be in it’s original packaging with a pharmacy sticker, the child’s name and dosage details. Prescribed medication will have the doctor’s name on the pharmacy sticker.
You are also asked to update any changes to your child’s medical profile as necessary. Medical profiles are located on PAM. Please contact the office if you are having any difficulties setting up your PAM account.
Children Isolating
Children who are isolating will be sent a learning continuity program to complete if they are well enough to do so. All teachers should have included email contact details with their learning programs or you are welcome to contact the school to arrange for the classroom teacher to return your call if seeking clarification about the work sent home.
Wishing all our families a lovely weekend,
Take care and God bless.
