Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
CHILD SAFETY
Just a reminder, that we will be holding our Volunteer Induction session next Tuesday, March 29th 2022. The session will begin at 5.30pm and the intention is to have the session within the hall. Thank you to those who have already registered. Parents should have received an SMS yesterday with a link to the registration form. Details are also outlined on PAM.
Those attending the session are required to show evidence of their booster vaccination status.
TRAVELLING TO AND FROM SCHOOL
As we celebrate National Ride To School Day, it is quite timely to have a conversation with your child about safety when travelling to and from school.
Please remind them to take the most direct route to school and home and perhaps discuss a few different scenarios to ensure children are feeling confident, safe and clear about expectations.

END OF DAY ARRANGEMENTS
We remind families that arrangements for the end of the day will remain the same until the end of term.
Please know that physical distancing still remains an important measure in maintaining a COVID Safe environment and we ask that families social distance as necessary and avoid congregating.
The following arrangements will be in place and will be reviewed regularly to ensure we are managing numbers and spaces appropriately. There will be designated areas for parents/guardians and carers attending onsite to pick up their children.
It is most important you discuss meeting points and end of day arrangements with your child /children to ensure a smooth changeover at the end of the day.
FOUNDATION STUDENTS
Parents/Guardians Carers may pick up students outside the Foundation classrooms and wait for their child in the quadrangle area. For new families, the quadrangle area is the space located outside the Foundation classrooms underneath the shade structure.
The admin gate will open at 3pm for Foundation parents. Foundation students will be dismissed at 3.05pm with their siblings.
The Gumnuts gate along Guthridge parade and the Raglan St gate will be opened at 3.10pm and parents may choose to leave via the admin foyer gate, Gumnuts/Guthridge pde gate or Raglan St gate.
Foundation students needing to catch the Gumnuts bus or Country bus will wait with their Foundation teacher and siblings until the appropriate bell rings for dismissal.
YEAR 1, 2, 5 & 6 STUDENTS
Parents/Guardians Carers may pick up Yr 1, 2, 5 & 6 students outside the library building. Blue seating is located between the library and stadium underneath the library windows. Signage will be displayed. Students will be directed to this area after the bell rings at 3.15pm to parents who may be waiting or to the appropriate exit gates.

Grade 2 students are currently using the Polyglots Go Camping App to complement our Circle Time sessions, we are learning about family members, foods, and asking and answering 'whose is this?' This week, we took our lesson outside and created natural sculptures inspired by some of the activities from the App.
The P & F Committee are running their annual Easter raffle.
We would like to ask families to donate something for the raffle.
It doesn’t have to be an Easter Egg! Any item related to the Easter theme would be appreciated.
The more donations we receive – the bigger the hampers, and more prizes to be won!
Please drop your donations at the school office by Friday April 1st 2022.
