Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
As we draw to the end of another busy week, we look forward to next week, the end of Term One and hope that all our children will enjoy a restful break over the Easter holiday period.
The children will be holding Holy Week liturgies within their classrooms in readiness for Easter and we pray that they carry the Easter message of hope and forgiveness into their homes as they recall the death and resurrection of Christ.
Each class is preparing a visual display to represent the events of Holy week and they will be on display in the school hall. We will share them with you via the newsletter as part of our Holy Week reflections.
Easter Egg Raffle/Jump Rope for Heart
I would sincerely like to thank everyone for their support with the selling of Easter raffle tickets, the donation of Easter eggs and for also supporting the Jump Rope for Heart Jump Off. It is very much appreciated.
We look forward to Friday and the Cross Country and Jump Off and hope you will be able to attend. As mentioned, the Cross Country will be held between 11am and 1pm, with a barbeque for the children.
Winter Uniform
Please know that there will be a two week changeover from Summer to Winter Uniform at the start of the second term. Details of uniform expectations will be shared with families in next week’s newsletter.
Child Safety and Wellbeing: COVID UPDATE
Please know that today, we have received further clarification regarding Visitors and Volunteers onsite.
Volunteers:
Vaccination Requirements for Visitors or Volunteers Performing Work in Schools.
Firstly, volunteers are required to have their booster vaccination when working in or outside schools, unless a valid exception applies.
Schools are required to collect, record and hold vaccination information for all workers, including visitors and volunteers performing work at school, whether inside or outside.
Hence, all registered volunteers will need to provide evidence of their vaccination status.
Visitors:
Vaccination Requirements for Parents, Carers and other Visitors not performing work.
Parents, Guardians, Carers and other adult visitors (excluding students who visit a school to complete a secondary school subject) who enter school buildings, must be able to show evidence of being fully vaccinated (with two doses) or a valid medical exemption.
The following limited exceptions also apply:
- when attending to administer medical treatment to their own child when the treatment cannot be administered by the school
- when attending to collect their child who is unwell and cannot leave the school building unaccompanied by their parent, guardian or carer
- when attending for a momentary period that does not involve any sustained contact with staff or students, for example, to collect a completed art project, collecting a rapid antigen test kit or similar.
Visiting School
Parents, Guardians and Carers may visit schools for a variety of reasons including parent-teacher interviews or to attend a school event or activity. Schools must sight vaccination information for visitors who are entering school buildings only and who are not performing work at the school, but do not need to collect, record or hold the vaccination information.
Parents, guardians, carers and other adult visitors attending school sites for drop-off and pick-up who do not enter school buildings do not need to comply with vaccination requirements.
Parents, guardians and carers and other adult visitors attending a gathering at school, such as a fete, school play or other school ceremony, when indoors, need to show evidence of being fully vaccinated or a medical exemption on arrival.
With respect to the Cross Country event being held next Friday, only those registered volunteers assisting on the day will need to show evidence of their booster vaccination.
Any visitors attending the Cross Country as spectators, will not need to show evidence of their vaccination status unless they enter the school building. All those wishing to enter the school building will need to enter via the Admin foyer to register their attendance and provide evidence of their vaccination status.
Thank you
Enjoy your weekend,
Anita & Staff

The P & F Committee are running their annual Easter raffle.
We would like to ask families to donate something for the raffle.
It doesn’t have to be an Easter Egg! Any item related to the Easter theme would be appreciated.
The more donations we receive – the bigger the hampers, and more prizes to be won!
Please drop your donations at the school office by Monday morning 4th April 2022.
Here is a photo of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize. There are many prizes to be won!
