Message From The Principal
Our school is a place of faith and learning
“From the first moment that a student sets foot in a Catholic school, he or she ought to have the impression of entering a new environment, one illuminated by the light of faith, and having its own unique characteristics. The inspiration of Jesus must be translated from the ideal into the real. The Gospel spirit should be evident in a Christian way of thought and life which permeates all facets of the educational climate”.
Dear Parents and Families,
I hope you have all managed to enjoy today and made the most of the sunshine.
We have had a busy period with Book Week Celebrations and District Athletics taking place this week. I would like to congratulate every child for their participation in either one or both events.
I hope you enjoy the photos that are included within today’s newsletter.
FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS
Thank you to those who volunteered to assist with the Father's Day Breakfast, however, due to the lack of volunteer responses, our Father’s Day Breakfast will not be able to proceed.
However, we do know how much our children enjoy having family attend school activities and visit classrooms and will therefore host a Father’s Day Morning. We invite our dads and/or special friends for a coffee and doughnut and to visit classrooms if they are free between 8.45am and 10.00am. All classes will run a Father’s Day activity and you are invited to join in if possible. Otherwise, if dropping your child off at 8.30am we will have a cuppa brewing for you to pick up on your way in or out of the school.
We have chosen Thursday to avoid the busyness of Swimming Rotations on Friday.
Please check the flier on PAM for details.
MATHEMATICS CURRICULUM DAY
Our teachers enjoyed a very informative and practical day reviewing the newly revised Maths Curriculum to which they will report upon in 2025. Michelle Irwin, together with Mrs Delma Brazelle, Learning Advisor from DOSCEL were responsible for hosting and organising the day.
The staff completed workshops on teaching Fractions. Teachers will continue to investigate and use the new curriculum in their planning.

We have been notified that students attending Catholic College Sale will be participating in PAT Testing next Thursday August 29th. There are three session times. Parents were asked to elect one of those sessions. Once completed, children can return to school. Please contact Catholic College Sale for further details.
YR 3&4 HOOP TIME BASKETBALL
This event will also take place next Thursday and will be held at the Gippsland Regional Sporting Complex.
School Advisory Committee Meeting
There will be an Advisory Meeting next Thursday, August 29th , 2024 at 6pm.
Quote for the week
People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But they will never forget how you made them feel.
May the Spirit of Christ live within and among us to bring peace, hope and joy to the lives of many.
Enjoy your weekend .
