Message from the Principal

Our school is  a place of faith and learning

“From the first moment that a student sets foot in a Catholic school, he or she ought to have the impression of entering a new environment, one illuminated by the light of faith, and having its own unique characteristics. The inspiration of Jesus must be translated from the ideal into the real. The Gospel spirit should be evident in a Christian way of thought and life which permeates all facets of the educational climate”.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,

Thank you for your support of the Parent - Teacher meetings last week. They play an important role in your child’s education, creating a connection between home and school,  allowing teachers and parents to work together. Having a partnership approach to support your child’s school journey is important and it also allows your child to know that teachers and parents are working together to support their learning journey.

At the heart of our school community are our school-wide expectations. These guide our learning, our relationships, and our choices every single day:

Be Safe

Take care of yourself and others. Speak and act with care. Choose actions that protect your and others' well-being.

Be Resilient

Approach each day with curiosity. Ask questions, take risks, and learn from your mistakes. Growth happens when we push ourselves to do a little better every day.

Be Respectful

Treat every person—student, teacher, or visitor—with kindness, patience, and fairness. Respect begins with listening and grows through understanding.

These expectations are more than rules—they are the foundation of the school culture we build.

COLOUR RUN

Today is the Colour run which promises to be a lot of fun. A huge thank you to our Parent and Friends group for their organising and preparation for today. Such an event would not be possible without the work of this group and the staff and students at St Thomas really appreciate all that they do.
